Requirements for AO Benefits

They are two main requirements you need to have so you can file for Agent Orange Benefits, Location and one of the 19 presumptive diseases or cancers related to Vietnam era Agent Orange exposure. 

Locations:

You need to have served in one of the following location furing the time listed:

 ◼︎ Republic of Vietnam and the territorial waters - (01/09/62 - 05/07/75)

◼︎ Korean DMZ - (09/01/1967 - 08/31/71)

◼︎ Thailand Military Bases - (01/09/62 - 06/30/76)

◼︎ Laos - (12/01/65 - 09/30/69)

◼︎ Cambodia - (04/16/69 -04/30/69)

◼︎ Guam and the territorial waters (01/06/62 - 07/31/80)

◼︎ American Samoa and the territorial waters (01/06/62 - 07-31/80)

◼︎ Johnston Atoll, or a ship called there - (01/01/72 - 09/30/77)

Presumptive Diseases or Cancers:

You need more than having symptoms of a medical condition to get VA Agent Orange benefits. You must actually be diagnosed/treated for one of the 19 presumptive diseases or cancers related to Vietnam era Agent Orange exposure.

Agent Orange exposure does not cause a single set of symptoms; instead, it is linked to a broad range of serious, long-term presumptive health conditions. There are 19 approved health conditions on the Agent Orange list. You must actually be diagnosed with one/or more of those conditions on that list.
